Azad Jammu & Kashmir Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (AJK TEVTA) has been established under an Act since July 2007 with the objective to strengthen and consolidate the Skills Development Program to provide skills for employability. The skilled workforce can contribute towards reducing unemployment, poverty alleviation and thus provide a strong base for the sustainable socioeconomic development of the State.
AJK TEVTA is managing 67 public sector TVET institutions, 82 Skill Development Centers and also regulating 73 private sector TVET institutions which are registered/affiliated. Training in different technical trades and technologies ranging from three months to three years duration, is being imparted. Annual Intake Capacity of the all institution is about 12600 persons.
